Tingly sex. Journalists are always asking sexologists how lovers can increase sensations in the sack. I had never thought about it till I was asked how to have it. For this particular interview, I needed to be all about tingle.Sure, lovers can get totally tingly at the prospect of having sex or being touched in just the right way. But how does one increase that thrilling sensation when sexually intimate? After giving it some thought, it turns out that there are tons of ways to deliver more tingle …
Toy With TemperaturePeople always seem curious about the sensations that come from hot wax, but are afraid to go there for fear of being too hardcore. To give your lover some of the same tingly sensations derived from hot wax, melt chocolate. (You can do this by microwaving chocolate syrup or doing a fondue-style dessert -- only your lover is your treat). But remember to check the temperature before pouring it on; the goal is to tingle, not to burn.
Drip the chocolate over your partner’s erogenous zones. Right before it cools down, dip your fingers in ice water and trace the lines you just made on your partner’s body, for some chilly sensations.
Eat Spicy FoodPlan your next meal at a restaurant where spicy food is the main dish. Dare your partner to eat a chili pepper, then plant a kiss on your lover. The combination of your lips and the spicy sensations in your lover’s mouth will raise your partner’s heart rate. This is especially effective if your partner is on the fence about the two of you, since many people mistake the reaction from this aphrodisiac for arousal.
Make Your Lover Your After-Dinner DrinkDraw a treasure trail by pouring sweet liqueur, like crème de menthe, connecting your partner’s favorite hot spots – think neck, back, arms and legs. Plant a few kisses in the area where you’ve drizzled. As the alcohol evaporates, your lover will feel a cool, tingly sensation.
Crank Up the ACGet intimate in front of an air conditioner, no matter what the time of year. The cool sensations will awaken the nerve endings surrounding erogenous zones.
Freshen Your BreathGargle with some mint or cinnamon mouthwash. Plant some kisses on your lover’s body and let him feel the tingle.
Popsicle PlaytimeTake a Popsicle and trace your lover’s form, spending ample time on sensitive erogenous zones, like the inner thighs, inner arms, and back of the knees. It's sure to create tingles.
Pour and BlowPour champagne or seltzer on your partner. As the droplets dry, blow for tingle.
Zero In on Sensitive SkinWe have erogenous zones all over our bodies that react with tingles in simply being toyed with, so home in on those areas, like the ear lobes. Kissing and blowing on these zones are sure to send your lover’s response into tingle overdrive.
